How To Play Big Catch Craze Free Demo
Being the first real fishing slot from AvatarUX, we were quite excited to see what this game has to offer. They are well known for their trademarked PopWins mechanic. And Reef Pop, their other aquatic themed game, was very good. So, we were happy to find all the great elements that we’ve come to love in fishing slots, which is FISHING. Here’s a quick walk through to get you started on playing Big Catch Craze.
- Set Your Bet: Select a bet from £0.10 – £200. To boost your chances of landing scatters, activate the Ante Bet option for an additional 50% of your stake. Spin the reels and hope to land matching symbols on any of the game’s 20 pay lines, to form wins.
- Fisherman’s Net Feature: On any spin, a fisherman may randomly cast his net to catch fish symbols. These symbols carry cash values that are then added to your wins. During the bonus game, the net can grow in size, and appears more frequently, catching even more fish and win multipliers.
- Triggering Free Spins: Land 3 or more scatter symbols to activate the free spins bonus round.
- Sticky Fish Re-spins: Land 5 or more fish to trigger a re-spin. All present fish symbols become sticky and lock in place while the rest of the grid spins to reveal new symbols.
- Xpress Mode: There are several instant feature buy options: 10x guarantees a net thrown on each spin, 25x activates Sticky Fish re-spins, 75x activates 7 free spins, and finally a 500x buy activates 12 free spins with maximum net size potential.
Winning Combinations & Payouts
In Big Catch Craze, you have 8 common symbols. There are 4 low paying and 4 premium symbols.
- Low-Paying Symbols: Four card symbols (J, Q, K and A) are low value. Payouts range from 0.25x – 4x.
- High-Paying Symbols: Fishing rods, Lures, Tackle boxes and Hooks are premium symbols. Payouts range from 1.5x – 9x.
Special Symbols
In addition to common symbols, there are also 3 special symbols in the game.
Fish Money Symbols
These symbols come with random cash values, which can be collected when the fisherman’s net is cast. In free spins, Fish Symbols can also include multipliers. Moreover, they also create pay line wins up to 10x.
Scatter Symbols
Landing 3 or more scatters trigger Free Spins, awarding 7–12 spins. If you activate the Ante Bet, then you stand a higher chance of landing scatters on each spin. Scatters award more spins in the bonus rounds.
Fisherman’s Net
The net randomly activates on a spin and catches fish that fall within the net boundaries on the slot grid. In the bonus round, your fishing net grows gradually throughout until it covers the whole grid.
Big Catch Craze Bonus Game
Besides the fishing net and sticky fish re-spins features, the main bonus game is the free spins bonus round. To trigger free spins you need to land at least 3 scatters in the base game. Depending on how many scatters you land, you will receive 7 12 free spins. Alternatively, you can also buy free spins via Xpress mode, where allowed.
When the free spins start, you will notice the net sizing on the left of your screen. This refers to the type of net shape cast on to the reels on a given spin. It can either be cash as a square shaped or rectangle shaped dimension. Your bonus round begins with either 2×2 (square) or 3X2 (rectangle) sizes. Whenever a new scatter symbol lands, you are rewarded with an extra spin and your net size grows. If you manage to collect enough scatters, then your net will reach a size that covers the whole grid. Thus, you can collect more fish, more win multipliers and bigger wins! You may even hit a 10,000x max win.
FAQ Big Catch Craze
The Free Spins Bonus is triggered by landing 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels in the base game. This awards 7 to 12 free spins. Additional scatters during free spins increase the size of the Fisherman’s Net and award 1 extra free spin.
This unique mechanic randomly activates during the base game or bonus rounds. It collects cash values from fish symbols that fall into the net. In free spins, the net size increases, and multiplier fish can appear too to boost total winnings.
Sticky Fish Respins are triggered by landing 5 or more fish symbols. During re-spins, fish symbols lock in place, and any new fish symbols that land, award another re-spin. If a fisherman’ net is cast, then fish symbols caught in the net will be collected.
The maximum win is capped at 10,000x, achievable through a combination of high-value fish symbols, multipliers and bonus features.
Conclusion
Big Catch Craze by AvatarUX is a good-looking fishing slot with serene outdoor visuals and engaging gameplay. The main attraction is the Fisherman’s Net feature and the 10,000x max win potential. We really like the net size progression element, which is similar to the bonus trail in Big Bass Bonanza. So, if you want to give it a spin, try the demo above or play for real money at one of our trusted casinos.
