Clawsy Collector is a crab slot developed by Bullshark Games and released through the Hacksaw Gaming platform. That explains why the menus and betting options have the for many familiar Hacksaw look. There is no fisherman that collect Fish symbols in this one. Instead you get a well-dressed crab that collects winning symbols to charge a meter above the reels. If you manage to reach certain points on the meter it releases Grid Boosters, add Wilds, remove low value symbols and also add a global win multiplier.
Gameplay in Clawsy Collector uses a 6×5 Scatter Pays grid with cascading wins, making it a little different from the traditional fishing slots found on the site. Therefore, winning symbols do not need to touch or follow a payline. It also have two Free Spins bonuses. A 96.27% top RTP and a maximum win of 15,000x can potential produce some big wins.

How To Play Clawsy Collector Demo Slot
Clawsy Collector does not use paylines or conventional clusters. Matching symbols can appear anywhere on the grid and do not need to connect. The game can have long cascading sequences when the Grid Boosters work together. However, its medium-high volatility means many spins will stop before the meter reaches the better half.
You can play the Clawsy Collector demo for free, it uses virtual credits and includes the same basic gameplay as the real-money version. To get started first set your bet per spin using the betting controls.
- Press the spin button to fill the 6×5 grid.
- Land at least eight matching symbols anywhere to create a win.
- Winning symbols disappear and new symbols will cascade into the open spaces.
- Keep cascading wins to charge the symbol collection meter.
- Land three or four Scatters to trigger a Free Spins bonus.
Winning Combos & Payouts
Clawsy Collector uses Scatter Pays. Winning symbols will disappear and then new ones fall into the empty spaces. The Scatter Pays system is also used in Crab Trap, although Clawsy Collector has a larger 6×5 grid and a more advanced collection mechanic. This cascade process continues until the grid has no new wins. The regular symbols include:
- Low-paying card ranks from 10 to A.
- An anchor, old boot and message in a bottle.
- A clam and treasure chest as the better symbols.
Groups of premium symbols can pay between 0.5x and 200x your bet. The largest groups of card symbols pay between 30x and 50x. The crab Wild can also pay as a Scatter Pays symbol. Landing at least 26 Wilds awards 1,000x your bet before any global multiplier applies. For the best results you normally need a long cascade with added Wilds or an increased global multiplier.
Special Symbols
Crab Wild
The crab Wild substitutes for all regular paying symbols. It does not replace the golden shell Scatter.
Golden Shell Scatter
Three golden shells trigger the Shell Seeker bonus. Four shells activate the enhanced Master Collector bonus.
Regular Symbols
Every regular symbol included in a win adds one point to the collection meter. Larger winning groups charge the meter more quickly.
Clawsy Collector Free Spins & Features
The main mechanic of the slot are Cascading Wins. This is when every winning combination disappears from the grid. The symbols above drop into the empty positions, while new symbols enter from the top. Each cascade can produce another win and add more points to the collection meter. A single paid spin can therefore create several consecutive payouts.
Cascades are important because the meter resets between ordinary spins. Landing a small win and collecting eight symbols is not enough to build permanent progress. You need to continue winning during the same cascade to reach the Grid Boosters.
Every symbol involved in a win is added to the collection meter above the grid. The number of collected symbols determines how many Grid Boosters activate. The Boosters activate after the current cascades finish. They then modify the grid and can produce another cascade. After the Boosters activate, the meter resets.
| Symbols Collected | Grid Booster Reward |
|---|---|
| 30–39 Symbols | One random Booster |
| 40–49 Symbols | Two random Boosters |
| 50 or More Symbols | All three Boosters |
Grid Boosters
There are three Grid Boosters. These can remove low value symbols, add Wilds or increase the global multiplier.
- Remove Low Symbols: This Booster removes all low-paying card symbols from the grid. New better symbols then fall into the empty spaces.
- Add Wilds: Between one and 30 Wild symbols are added to random positions. They cannot replace existing Wilds or golden shell Scatters.
- Add Global Multiplier: The Booster adds between 1x and 100x to the global win multiplier. Possible multiplier adds include 1x to 10x, followed by 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x or 100x. The multiplier applies to wins during the current sequence. In the base game, it resets when the paid spin ends.
The Global Multiplier cannot be selected when you only unlock one Grid Booster. Therefore, you must collect at least 40 symbols before it can appear. Note that Collecting 50 or more symbols activates all three Boosters together. Low symbols disappear, Wilds enter the grid and the global multiplier increases.
Shell Seeker Free Spins
Landing three golden shell Scatters triggers the Shell Seeker bonus with 10 Free Spins. The Grid Boosters remain active, but two important mechanics become always on.
- The global multiplier no longer resets after each spin.
- The collection meter keep the progress between spins.
Each time you collect 50 winning symbols, one extra Free Spin is added. The meter then resets and can give another spin if you fill it again.
Master Collector Free Spins
Landing four Scatters triggers Master Collector with 12 Free Spins. Master Collector follows the same rules as Shell Seeker. The global multiplier and winning symbol counter remain persistent throughout the bonus. The difference is that the collection meter starts at 10 rather than zero. Whenever it resets, you retain that ten-point head start.
This means you only need another 20 symbols to release the first Grid Booster. You also need 40 more symbols to reach the full 50-point reward and receive an additional spin.
Clawsy Collector Feature Spins and Bonus Buy
Direct Bonus Buy options are unavailable to UK players. The Bonus Hunt and Snappy Spin options may also be removed at UK casinos. Availability depends on the operator and its version of the game. Clawsy Collector includes four enhanced play options in supported international markets:
| Option | Cost | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus Hunt Feature Spins | 3x bet | Makes a bonus trigger five times more likely |
| Snappy Spin | 50x bet | Starts the meter at 30 and guarantees a Grid Booster |
| Shell Seeker | 100x bet | Triggers 10 Shell Seeker Free Spins |
| Master Collector | 250x bet | Triggers 12 Master Collector Free Spins |
Conclusion
Clawsy Collector best part is the meters. Small wins can build into a much longer chain when the low symbols are removed, it adds Wilds and increases the global multiplier. Reaching 50 symbols and activating all three Boosters together is satisfying when it happens.
However, the base game can also be a bit frustrating. As progress resets when the spin ends, so collecting 29 symbols earns you nothing really. Added Wilds can also range from one to 30, which makes that Booster somewhat unpredictable.
Both Free Spins rounds improve the experience by making the meter and multiplier persistent. Master Collector is the better of the two, but starting the meter at 10 is not really enough to make it feel like an entirely separate bonus. The 15,000x maximum win and 96.27% top RTP are both good. Just avoid the 92.35% version.
