Devil’s Catch by Wishbone drags you into the murky depths of a fishing trip where the biggest haul comes with horns and a pitchfork. Swapping sunny skies and calm waters for fire, brimstone, and sunken treasure. Instead of a regular fisherman we get a devil fisherman, hooking fish symbols, jackpots, and triggering bonus features.
It is a classic 5×3 slot game with a solid 96.40% RTP. Moreover, Devil’s Catch has a 5,000x max win. This is a nice switch away from Wishbone’s Kingfisher series. So let’s see what the devil’s harpoon cooks up for us.

Devil’s Catch is a 5×3 video slot with 20 fixed pay lines, and a max win of 5,000x your bet. It is similar in gameplay to other slots (Kingfisher) by Wishbone, but this time around it features fishing with a fiery twist. Fish symbols have their classic instant win values and there are also jackpot symbols that can pay up to 1,000x. The Devil Fisherman can land only in the centre of the middle reel, collecting all visible fish and jackpot values when he lands.
How To Play Devils Catch Free Demo
Devil’s Catch is a fishing slot with an underwater volcano setting. In fact the volcano is the gateway to the devil’s domain. But who knew that he also likes to fish? To discover cool features and how the slot works, be sure to play the free Devils Catch demo slot above. Overall it is a great to try out the game for free and to see if you like it. Bet and Spin: Start by adjusting your total bet, from £0.20 to £40 per spin. Then hit the spin button to get the reels spinning. Each spin offers you a chance to land a mix of standard symbols and special symbols. Wins are paid out from left to right, and you’ll need at least three matching symbols on a pay line.
Special Features: Trigger a bonus round by landing Devils Catch Fisherman symbols in the middle. These work much the same as the Kingfishers in the Kingfisher slots. But here instead of cracking eggs you want to crack open 3 chests above the reels. Devils will throw fireballs each time they land and eventually they crack open a chest. More than one chest can crack open simultaneously. Each chest awards a bonus feature with a modifier.
Winning Combinations & Payouts
Devil’s Catch keeps things traditional when it comes to base game symbols. You’ve got 9 common symbols, from low-paying to higher-value symbols.
- High Value: Can of worms, Fishing-rods, Tackle boxes and Fishing Boats. Payouts range from 0.2x – 8x.
- Low Value: Card symbols (10, J, Q, K , A) are typical low value symbols. Payouts range from 0.1x – 1.6x.
Special Symbols
Additionally, there are 4 special symbols in Devils Catch: Fishermen, Wilds, Jackpots and Fish.
Devil Fisherman
The devil fisherman only appears in the middle of the slot grid. He triggers a collection feature and also sends fireballs to try and crack open chests above the reels. These chests unlock 3 different bonus features.
Wild Symbol
Wild symbols substitute for all common symbols. Both Devils and Wilds can help create winning combinations. Moreover, wilds also have line payouts too, ranging from 0.8x- 20x.
Jackpot Symbols
Besides cash values, Devils Catch also features 4 fixed jackpots: Mini 10x, Minor 20x, Major 100x and Grand 1000x. To collect them, they need to land simultaneously with a fisherman.
Fish Symbols
Cash symbols carry instant win values which are collected by devil fishermen. You can collect multiple cash symbols at once. Furthermore, look out for the max win fish that carries a 5,000x value.
Devils Catch Bonus Game
Like with all Wishbone fishing slots, there is no standard bonus game. Thus, there are no scatter symbols in the game. However, when the devil lands, he sends fireballs flying on to chests above. If one of the chests cracks open, then you unlock a bonus round with free spins and an active bonus modifier. You can also unlock more than one chest at once.
When a feature is triggered you get free 6 spins. During a Devils Catch bonus round, the Devil stays in place, collecting all cash and jackpot symbols that land, each spin.
Chest Modifiers
As mentioned, there are 3 different bonus features, you can unlock.
- Multiplier: You start with a 2x win multiplier. For each X symbol that lands during the bonus round, the multiplier goes up by one. Max multiplier possible is 5x.
- Adder (+ sign): This modifier starts with a value of 1x your bet. This value is added to all collected fish symbols. When a plus symbol lands the adder value increases by 1x up to a max of 5x.
- Respin: Lastly, we have a respin modifier. You start with one live (heart) and can get up to 3 hearts by landing heart symbols on the reels. When there is a spin that lands a fish or jackpot symbol, then they become sticky and a respin takes place. If there is a spin that does not land a symbol, then you lose a heart. Bonus round continues until you have no hearts left or you fill up the whole slot grid.

Conclusion
Devil’s Catch flips the cosy fishing slot and replaces it with pitchforks, brimstone, and a devil. Visuals are bright and. So although its a devil themed slot, its not a dark and gloomy one. Overall, the base game is straightforward and wins land quite frequently. Bonus rounds, when triggered are fun and rewarding with the bonus modifiers. The one thing we don’t like is that chests don’t have a set number of fireballs needed to crack them open. Therefore, you can crack one with one fireball or 100. So, it can be frustrating and balance consuming at times. But if you enjoyed other Wishbone slots, then we suggest you give Devil’s Catch a go.
