Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch Gold Spins is a medium-volatility fishing slot by Blueprint Gaming. It uses the same long-running Fishin’ Frenzy formula as you have seen before, but with the added Gold Spins feature. There is no surprise you get the 5×3 layout coupled with 10 pay lines. As mentioned it introduces a few extra layers. Mainly the Gold Spins is the star here, but you also get Catch of the Day, and an optional Power Play mode. However, with a capped 2,500x max win and a flat 95% RTP, this release feels very conservative.
Everything here will feel instantly familiar to a Fishin Frenzy fan. Fish symbols has cash values, fishermen collect them during bonuses, and progression happens through a Big Catch-style trail. The Gold Spins add a short guaranteed-collection phase at the end of free spins. This slot works exactly as expected, but starting off 2026, that might not be enough.

The game runs on a standard 5-reel with 3-rows layout and 10 paylines. It has a medium volatility math-model on which you can bet from 0.10 and up to 100 per spin. Thus making it aimed at a more casual player crowd, but can also accommodate higher stakes. The RTP sits at 95%, which is a little below the modern slot average, but on par with Fishin Frenzy slots. While you have chunky feature set the max win is still only 2,500x. So even when you have Gold Spins active, this is not a slot designed for huge payouts.
How To Play The Big Catch Gold Spins Demo Free

Winning Combinations & Payouts
Wins are formed by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the same symbols on a pay line, from left to right . Like most Fishin’ Frenzy slots, base game payouts are nothing special. So expect that most of the value will come from fish collections that happen during bonus rounds.
- Low Value Symbols: 10, J, Q, K, and A card symbols pay between 5x and 10x for five of a kind.
- High Value Symbols: Fish, bait box, lifebuoy, fishing reel, pelican, and fisherman symbols pay between 20x and 200x for five matching symbols.
- Fish Symbols: Fish come with values that range from 2x up to 50x your bet. These values can only be collected by landing a Fisherman symbol during Free Games or during Gold Spins
Special Symbols
Fishin’ Frenzy: The Big Catch Gold Spins uses the familiar symbol setup seen throughout the series.
Fisherman Wild
The Fisherman acts as a Wild during Free Games and Gold Spins. It substitutes for all symbols except Bonus Scatters and Gold Spins Scatters. When it lands alongside Fish symbols, it collects all visible cash values.
Scatter Symbol
The Bonus Scatter triggers Free Games. 3 Scatters award 10 Free Games, 4 Scatters award 15 Free Games and 5 Scatters give you 20 Free Games
The Big Catch Gold Spins Free Spins & Features
The Free Games bonus is triggered by landing 3 or more Bonus Scatter symbols in the base game. During Free Games, Fisherman symbols become active and can collect Fish values. Every time you land a Fisherman it is also is added to the Big Catch trail, that you can see to the left of the reels. After four upgrades on this trail, the lowest fish values are removed and you are awarded +5 extra Free Games. Fish values during this phase can range from 2x to 50x your stake.
Gold Spins
You can trigger Gold Spins by landing a Gold Spins Scatter on the same spin as a Fisherman. Each scatter awards 1 Gold Spin, up to a maximum of 5. During Gold Spins, only Golden Fishermen and Fish symbols appear. The main feature of Gold Spins is that every spin guarantees a collection, but no additional spins can be won.
Catch of the Day
All the Fish symbol that lands is added to a net above the reels. At random, the net can trigger a modifier round where you pick a fish to reveal one of several rewards, such as instant cash collect, respins, symbol upgrades, extra Fishermen, or extra Free Games.
Gamble Feature
After certain wins, you can gamble for a higher cash prize (up to 500x), 25 Free Games, or 25 Free Games plus 5 Gold Spins. The gamble uses a wheel with adjustable odds.
Power Play
Power Play runs at 5x your base stake and removes low-value symbols from the reels. Only Fish, Fisherman, and Bonus symbols appear. Any bonus triggered here plays at the original base stake, not the boosted one.
The Big Catch Gold Spins Rapid Fire Jackpots
If you’re playing in the UK, then some online casinos may have Rapid Fire slots available for you. These games offer small frequent progressive jackpots that work similarly to Blueprint’s Jackpot King jackpots. You need to land 5 flame overlays on the reels. This then triggers a Rapid Fire jackpot wheel which can award one of 5 jackpot prizes or instant cash wins. And the best part is that trigger quite frequently.
Conclusion
Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch Gold Spins is an uninspired addition to the series. It plays exactly as expected, looks exactly as expected, and pays exactly as expected. The low 95% RTP and 2,500x max win are the biggest downers for this release. Casinos are full of fishing slots that offer higher payouts and more fun mechanics. So, this one feels like a safe slot release.
Overall we think this is a slot for those that are long-time Fishin’ Frenzy fans. You will enjoy it if you are after steady gameplay and familiar mechanics as well as jackpot prizes. For everyone else looking for more action, there are better fishing slots out there.

The maximum win is capped at 2,500x your total bet.
You can trigger the Gold Spins during Free Games when a Gold Spins Scatter lands together with a Fisherman. They guarantee fish collections on every spin but do not award any extra spins.
