How To Play King Kong Splash Demo Slot
The basic gameplay is easy to follow. Spin and try to land matching symbols from left to right on the 4,096 ways. But your main goal is to land cash prize fish and the Kong Collect symbols. That is where the big win potential is. Here’s a quick guide to getting started.
- Set Your Bet & Spin – Choose a bet amount, per spin, between £0.10 and £25.
- Cash Prize Symbols – Cash symbols can appear on all six reels. When a collector symbol symbol lands on reel 1 or reel 6 on the same spin, then cash symbols are collected.
- The Unlock Trail – There is a bonus trail above the reels. When playing King Kong Splash for the first time, you need to unlock different collectors and features. Every collector symbol that lands moves you forward on the trail, unlocking different collectors and bonuses.
- Trigger Free Spins – Landing 3 or more scatters awards a free spins bonus game. You start off with 10 free spins, a new bonus trail, and all the collectors you’ve unlocked become active.
Now that you know how the game works, play our free King Kong Splash demo slot below. You can get a feel for how the collector mechanic works. It is one of those games that makes more sense once you have seen the trail and chest features in action. And when you’re ready to play with real money, head on to one of our recommended casinos above.
Winning Combos & Payouts
The regular paytable is made up of low-paying royals and higher-paying jungle themed symbols. If you’ve played King Kong Cash slots before, then you’ll recognize the game symbols. Like most fishing slots, the normal pay table is more of a background extra. The fish cash prizes are where the main action lies.
Low Value Symbols: Six cards symbols (9, 10, J, Q, K and A). You need at least 3 matching symbols on a pay line for a payout. These pay out between 0.4x – 1.5x.
High Value Symbols: Five animal symbols (Crocs, Parrots, Tigers, Rhinos and King Kong). You need at least 2 matching symbols on a pay line for a payout. These pay out between 0.2x – 5x.
Special Symbols
In addition to regular paying symbols, King Kong Splash has 4 extra special symbols. These include different collector symbols, fish cash symbols, scatters and wilds.
Kong Collectors
Collector symbols can land on reel 1 and reel 6. They collect all cash prize symbols on the reels. You can unlock up to 5 different collector symbols, each with their unique collector bonus feature.
Cash Prize Symbols
Fish symbols can land anywhere on the reels. They carry cash values or one of three fixed jackpot prizes: Minor 50x, Major 250x, and Mega 2,500x. When a collector lands on the same spin, the prizes are collected.
Scatter Symbols and Chests
3 or more scatter symbols trigger free spins. There are 3 different coloured scatter symbols (red, blue and green). Above the reels are 3 colour meters that fill up as you play and each bonus chest feature can trigger randomly.
Wild Symbol
There is also a wild symbol in King Kong Splash. It helps form winning combinations by substituting for regular paying symbols. The Win Boost modifier upgrades reel symbols into wilds and top-paying symbols.
King Kong Splash Bonus Features
Unlike other slot games, the base game is not boring. You can land numerous bonus features on any spin, which keeps your balance ticking over. On any base game spin, random reel modifiers can activate.
- Feeding Frenzy – adds extra cash prize symbols, which are then collected by Kong.
- Bonus Boost – adds bonus symbols to the reels, and a re-spin occurs for a chance to trigger a bonus round.
- Win Boost – upgrades reel symbols to wilds and the highest-paying symbols.
- Wipeout – all symbols are removed and replaced with new ones to form a win.
Kong Unlock Trail
When you play King Kong Splash for the first time, you need to unlock collectors and bonus game modes on the trail above the reels. Every time a collector symbol lands, you advance one step on the trail. As you progress along the trail, you unlock new collector symbols with bigger win potential.
Here is a short breakdown of the different collectors.
- Collect – any cash prize symbols are collected.
- Expand Collect – cash prize symbols expand, creating a boost zone with values up to 10x.
- Cascade Collect – all symbols except collectors and fish are removed, and new symbols fall into place.
- Colossal Collect – all cash symbols are collected, triggering a colossal reel that covers reels 2 to 5.
- Reel Collect – spins a mini reel that can award up to five additional cash prizes.
- Super Shark Symbol – the shark expands and its value keeps increasing until it is caught.
- Feature Upgrades – if an upgrade symbol appears, it activates a feature and boosts its effect.
- Fishin’ Mayhem – once unlocked, you will be able to choose with free spins mode you wan to play: Kong Bonus Spins or Fishin’ Mayhem.
Kong’s Combo Feature
Every spin during the base game can feature different coloured bonus symbols on the reels. When they land and do not trigger a bonus game, they’re added to the relevant chest. Whenever one of the coloured chests fills, the game can randomly trigger an upgrade. In the base game, these upgrades are:
- Red Chest – extra spins.
- Blue Chest – expands all collectors.
- Green Chest – boosts your progress on the bonus trail.
King Kong Splash Free Spins
In order to enter the free spins bonus round, you need to land at least 3 scatter symbols. Depending on the colour of your scatter symbols, those relative modifiers will be active. If you have unlocked the full bonus trail in the base game, then you’ll be able to choose from 2 different bonus modes: Kong Bonus Spins or Fishin’ Mayhem.
Additionally, for every extra scatter landed over 3 scatters, you receive an instant win. 4, 5 or 6 scatters awards 20x, 100x and 500x wins, respectively.
Kong Bonus Spins
Kong Bonus Spins is a traditional fishing slot bonus round. You get 10 free spins and a bonus trail which unlocks extra spins and higher win multipliers. For every level you unlock on the bonus trail, you get 5 extra spins. Furthermore, you can upgrade to higher win multipliers: 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x.
When you trigger free spins with active chest modifiers, you receive the following upgrades. More than one chest can activate for the bonus round.
- Blue Chest – Expands collector symbol for the duration of the bonus round.
- Red Chest – You receive up to 5 extra spins at the start of the bonus round.
- Green Chest – Win multipliers are boosted to 3x, 4x, 8x and 20x.
Fishin’ Mayhem
Fishin’ Mayhem is the more volatile bonus mode of the two. Therefore, there is a bigger chance for bigger payouts. However, this bonus mode only features fish collections without spinning reels and pay symbols. The feature starts with 5 spins and uses a special collection grid.
Bombs can create or expand the grid, and collector symbols can land with multipliers up to 5x. Every 4 collector symbols upgrade the minimum fish value and awards extra spins. This is a similar bonus mechanic to Fishin’ Frenzy the Big Catch.
Kong Symbols
Extra kong symbols can improve the feature:
- 3 Kong Symbols – 3 extra spins and 2x minimum cash prize value.
- 6 Kong Symbols – 3 extra spins and 3x minimum cash prize value.
- 9 Kong Symbols – 3 extra spins and 5x minimum cash prize value.
- 12 Kong Symbols – 3 extra spins and 8x minimum cash prize value.
Chest Modifers
Here too, active chests can upgrade your bonus round with modifiers:
- Blue Chest – More dynamite symbols are added to the grid.
- Red Chest – Up to 5 extra spins are added at the start of the bonus round.
- Green Chest – Trail multipliers are boosted to 3x, 4x, 6x and 10x.
Jackpot King Deluxe Version
Due to the success of King Kong Splash, Blueprint have also released a version that incorporates their progressive jackpot system. King Kong Splash Jackpot King replaces the fixed jackpot prizes with a chance to win one of 3 progressive jackpot prizes. During the base game, if 5 Jackpot Kin symbol overlays land on the reels, then you enter the jackpot round.
Here you need to collect crown symbols in a hold and spin feature. If you reach the top tier of the ladder, then you progress to the next stage where a prize is drawn for you. It can either be am instant win prize of one of the 3 progressive jackpot prizes. Note, that Jackpot King amounts vary between casinos as this is a local jackpot system. So, different casino networks will have different prize amounts.
Conclusion
King Kong Splash is one of those slots that is clearly fishing-inspired. It’s a combo of Blueprint’s favourite ape character with their top Fishin’ Frenzy collector mechanics. So, you get the best of both slot series. In fact, the collection mechanics are very entertaining. The unlock trail adds some direction and the two bonus modes are a nice touch. Moreover, the Jackpot King version too gives you a chance to hit a massive progressive jackpot prize.
If you enjoy Blueprint Gaming slots and are a fan of both slots series then King Kong Splash is a perfect fit for you. But if you aren’t familiar with these games, then you’ll still be very excited about this game. It’s loaded with action and frequent wins. So, what’s not to like!
