How To Play Nice Catch Doublemax Slots Free Demo
In order to play Nice Catch for free, you will need to verify your age. One way this is easily achieved by signing up at one of our trusted casinos and completing the credit check. Nice Catch Doublemax offers straightforward gameplay, with extra betting options if you choose to use them.
- Hook your bait: Begin by selecting your desired bet per spin. The game operates on a 5×3 grid and wins are awarded for matching symbols on consecutive reels, from left to right.
- Golden Bet: If you want 50% better chances of landing scatter symbols, then you can activate the Golden Bet option. But it will cost you an extra 50% on top of your betting stake.
- DoubleMax Multipliers: Winning spins trigger the DoubleMax multiplier, doubling your multiplier above the reels each time. Landing enough consecutive wins can boost your multiplier up to 256x. Yggdrasil’s mechanism is similar to Gonzo’s Quest by NetEnt.
- Catching Free Spins: Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, awards 8, 11, or 14 free spins, respectively. Win multipliers do not reset during free spins. So, you have chances for big payouts.
- Fisherman Collect: When fish symbols land on the reels along with a fisherman symbol, on reel five, then their values are collected.
- Bonus Buy: If you reside outside of the UK and have the bonus buy option, then you can buy one of 2 options: 100x for a regular free spins trigger (3 – 5 scatters) or 500x for 5 guaranteed scatters.
Winning Combinations & Payouts
For a payout, you need to land three or more matching symbols, on consecutive reels from left to right, aligning with the slots’ 243 pay lines. There are 9 common symbols in the game: 4 low paying and 5 high paying. Fish symbols, which are the top symbols in Nice Catch Doublemax, also carry cash values from 1x to 100x. Marlins have the highest cash value. These values can only be collected by the fisherman when he lands on reel 5.
- Low-Paying Symbols: The low-paying symbols are represented by traditional card suits (Clubs, Diamonds, Spades and Hearts), giving payouts ranging from 0.1x to 0.6x.
- High-Paying Symbols: Anchors, shoes, bottles, phones and fish are high-paying symbols. Payouts range from 0,4x – 1x.
Although payouts seem very low, even for premium symbols, the win multipliers make up for this. So, if you connect a lot of premium symbols with a high multiplier, then you will hit a big win.
Special Symbols
On top of the common symbols we also have 2 special symbols: Fishermen and Scatters.
Fisherman Symbol
This symbol appears only on reel five. If it lands along with one or more fish symbols, across the reels, then it collects the cash values of all fish in view.
Scatter Symbol
Scatters are your gate to the bonus round. Landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters anywhere on the reels awards 8, 11, or 14 free spins, respectively.
Nice Catch Doublemax Bonus Game
The Bonus Round in Nice Catch is all about the Doublemax feature of the slot. The Bonus Round is activated when you land 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols on the reels. This gives 8, 11, or 14 free spins, respectively. Before entering the bonus round you can try to increase your free spins with a gamble feature. However, we do not recommend gambling away your free spins.
During the free spins, the DoubleMax multiplier does not reset between spins, thus allowing the multiplier to build up to its max value of x256. Scatter symbols are removed from the reels, so you get more value symbols. If you land a fisherman symbol during free spins you get an additional free spin and it also doubles the multiplier value for the rest of the free spins.
The free spins bonus round is done when no free spins remain. However, do note that there is no cap on the chance for additional free spins so this can theoretically make for some very lucrative bonus rounds.
Nice Catch 2 Doublemax
The sequel expands the playing field by adding an extra reel. Thus, changing the slot grid into a 6×3 setup. Moreover, by adding an extra reel, pay lines increase from 243 to 729. Volatility is lower compared to the original game and so is the 10,000x max win.
One extra addition to the series is that Yggdrasil has added a female diver to our trusted fisherman. Her special power in Nice Catch 2 is that she triggers a Hold & Win bonus game. So, not only do you have more ways to win, but you also have an extra bonus game that can be triggered. Check the free demo out in our free demo slot section.

Conclusion
Nice Catch slots by Yggdrasil offer a lot of entertainment value with the DoubleMax feature. Based off of their hit game Multifly, these fishing slots can really boost your wins in the bonus rounds when your win multipliers reach big amounts. Any small winning combo can generate a massive win when the multipliers are big. Compared to other fishing slots, Nice Catch slots do not offer up too many bonus features. So, gameplay may be boring at times, especially due to the high volatility. However, Nice Catch 2 with the addition of the female diver’s hold and win bonus game, shortens the gap with more added excitement. If you enjoy Yggdrasil games, then be sure to try out Nice Catch slots.
