How To Play Unusual Catch Free Demo Slot
Unusual Catch is much like its non-fishing predecessors in how the slot works. This time around it looks like our detective needed a fishing vacation from the usual unusual suspects. He didn’t go too far as we can still see the city skyline in the background. Ideally, when trying out a new slot game, you would look for the Unusual Catch demo slot. But they are not allowed in the UK. Therefore, check the information tab within the game for full details. When you are ready follow these steps:
- Set Your Bet: Start by choosing your bet amount between £0.10 – £20.
- Spin the Reels: Hit the spin button to start the game. If you prefer turbo spins, then click on the lightning bolt to activate them.
- Land winning combos: Try to land matching symbols across any of the 20 pay lines to form wins.
- Wild symbols: In Unusual Catch wild symbols play an important role. When they land, they leave sticky frames on the screen. So, when a fisherman lands, he will turn sticky frames to wilds. Thus, creating some big wins.
- Scatters: Look out for scatter symbols as they are your gateway to the Bad Bass Free Spins round.
Winning Combinations & Payouts
There are 9 common symbols in the game. You need to match at least 3 of the same symbol, from left to right, on a pay line, for a win. On the 5×4 slot grid, you have 20 slots for symbols to land. And five of a kind are the highest wins per symbol.
Common symbols are divided into two groups:
- Low-Paying Symbols: Classic card ranks (10, J, Q, K, and A) are the low-value symbols. Payouts range from 0.1x – 1x.
- High-Paying Symbols: Bottles, Hooks, Caps and Rafts are premium symbols. Payouts range from 0.1x – 10x.
Special Symbols
There are also 4 special symbols in the Unusual Catch slot: Wild, Scatters and Anglers. When timed correctly, wild symbols and angler symbols can generate huge wins.
Wild Symbols
Regular wilds substitute for all common symbols, helping to form wins. Additionally, 5 wilds on a pay line, payout like rafts. Lastly, they leave sticky frames behind which can be turned into wilds from anglers.
Purple Wilds
When a purple wild lands, it works as a regular wild but also has the potential to spawn more wilds on the reels. Sometimes it can spawn more purple wilds which in turn spawn more wilds.
Scatter Symbols
Landing two scatters helps fill up the Booster Meter. When you have collected enough they trigger free spins or other bonuses. Scatters also activate the Bad Bass Free Spins when you land three or more.
Angler Wild Bonus
The Angler symbol is present in both the base game and the bonus. When it lands it will add wilds to all sticky frames. Moreover, it will add a step on the bonus trail, helping to unlock more spins and bigger win multipliers.
Base Game Features
During the base game, Unusual Catch has some features that can boost your winnings.
- Sticky Wild Frames: When wild symbols land on the reels, they leave behind a sticky frame. If a wild lands in a framed spot, the multiplier for that frame increases by 1, up to a maximum of 5x.
- Angler Wild Bonus: The Angler symbol activates all sticky framed positions, filling them with wilds. This feature is available both in the base and bonus game.
- Booster Meter: Above the reels you will see a meter. Every time you land 1 or 2 scatters, they will be added to the meter. When the meter is filled up, you will trigger the Bas Bass Free Spins.
Unusual Catch Free Spins Bonus Game
Unusual Catch bonus round offers win multipliers and chances to add more free spins. Additionally, there is potential for big payouts up to 8,000x. You can enter the bonus game via 3 ways:
- You land at least 3 scatters on the reels. If you land 2 scatters anywhere above the bottom row, then a nudge effect will be triggered. Thus, giving you more chances to land the extra scatter symbol. You may be familiar with this feature from Big Bass Splash and Secrets of the Golden Lake.
- Filling up the booster meter. When you land only one or two scatters, they will be added on the meter. Even if you trigger a free spins bonus, the meter progression will still stay saved. So, you can complete it afterwards.
- Lastly, if you reside in a region that allows bonus buys, then you can buy-in directly to the bonus for 38.6x your stake.
Number of scatters landed determines the amount of free spins granted.
- 3 scatters – 10 free spins
- 4 scatters – 15 free spins
- 5 scatters – 20 free spins
During the Bad Bass free spins round, sticky frames remain in place throughout the whole bonus game. Therefore, you have more chances to rack up win multipliers on sticky frames, which can increase wins heavily. Moreover, you can also potentially fill up the grid with sticky frames. Thus, giving you a chance to have a full grid of wilds that can unleash a gigantic win. Bad Bass Free Spins continue until all spins are used, or you reach the 8,000x max win.
Angler Wild Bonus Trail
When you start the bonus round, you will notice that the meter booster is replaced by a bonus trail. Bonus trails are not new to fishing slots, as they have become standard practice among game providers. When you land angler symbols, you progress along the trail unlocking more spins and win multipliers. Each milestone is named Bad Bass and you progress all the way up to Bad Bass – 4 level.
- 3 Anglers – 2x multiplier and 5 extra spins.
- 6 Anglers – 3x multiplier and 5 extra spins.
- 9 Anglers – 5x multiplier and 5 extra spins.
- 12 Anglers – 10x multiplier and 5 extra spins.
