Yggdrasil Gaming
Yggdrasil Gaming was launched in 2013 by Fredrik Elmqvist, a former NetEnt CEO with a clear vision for the future of gaming, they quickly rose from a small startup to a leading name in the industry. Named after the mythical tree that connects the nine worlds in Norse cosmology, Yggdrasil Gaming bases its success on innovative technology and captivating storytelling in their games.
The company’s focus was to try to revolutionize the online slot experience. They introduced its iSense technology, which brought smoother animations and a better user experience to online slots. And Yggdrasil didn’t stop there. They continued to push boundaries with its BOOST promotional tools and the BRAG social sharing tool, all to try to enhance player engagement in the games and of course retention.
One of Yggdrasil’s standout moments came with the release of games like ‘Vikings Go Wild’, which not only showcased their focus on creating great narratives but also their ability to get the stories into the gameplay, making each spin a step further into the games’ world. Moreover, this game has now been incorporated into a fishing slot with 4ThePlayer. Their portfolio boasts a diverse range of themes, not only Vikings and fishing slots. So there’s something for every kind of player, many games are based on myths and legends
Fredrik Elmqvist, leveraging his experience in the gaming industry, has guided Yggdrasil in a good direction. Crafting cool experiences that resonate with players, trying to make each game a journey.
More Than Slots
In recent years, Yggdrasil has expanded beyond slot games, venturing into table games and even launching its own game server, YGS Masters. This initiative invites independent gaming studios to develop games under the Yggdrasil name, thus fostering an environment with different teams working together and as a result, you get more innovation and diversity. Which shows in their gaming library.
So, the future looks promising for Yggdrasil Gaming, continuing to innovate and focus on quality gaming experiences. We are certain that we can look forward to more immersive games. Just like the Yggdrasil tree connects worlds, Yggdrasil Gaming connects players to a universe of great gaming adventures.
